Originally coming from a background in IT Training, Paul has been an active volunteer with the RSPB and Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park for many years before studying Countryside & Environmental Management at the Scottish Agricultural College.  After graduating from the course his travels led him to the Skálanes nature reserve in Iceland, before joining the RSPB team at loch Garten this year. 

Extinct in the United Kingdom for nearly 40 years, the story of the Loch Garten Osprey Project tells the tale of how these beautiful birds of prey re-established themselves at Loch Garten and went on to recolonise other areas of the United Kingdom.  Presented by Paul Turner from the Loch Garten Osprey Team, the talk will look at the history of Osprey at Loch Garten, the current project to protect them and where the future might lead for a bird that has captured the hearts and minds of people around the world.
