Russwood’s Scotlarch® branches out across the U.K.

Russwood, like Scotland’s Housing Expo, sees Highland roots as no obstacle to branching out to reach a national, and even international audience.

Russwood’s Scotlarch® in particular has proved to have a widespread appeal, and this sustainable timber is shipped the length and breadth of the country.

The name of this popular product is shorthand for “Scottish-grown heartwood of European Larch” which would have been a bit of a mouthful! The timber is grown within 80 miles of Russwood’s Station Sawmill, and is scrupulously graded for quality and appearance before being shipped out.

The local source of the timber and its natural durability mean that it has the smallest carbon footprint of any timber cladding product in the U.K.

Recent projects which have used Russwood’s Scotlarch® cladding include schools in Badminton and Sheffield, a housing association project in London, and even an army barracks in distant Dover!

But the undisputed winner when it comes to most far-flung order has to be the order we received for Scotlarch® profiled boards which we delivered to the Falkland Islands, off the coast of Argentina!

Russwood products feature in no less than 18 house plots at Scotland\'s Housing Expo.
