David Somerville Architects was founded in 1998 with the aim of creating buildings that are sensitive to the needs of the people that use them and the environment in which we live.
The Practice now has two architects, David Somerville and Chris Gratton. Both are involved in all aspects of design, construction and management, and have many years experience of designing public and private buildings. They have developed a good awareness of specific issues related to the design and construction of buildings in the Highlands & Islands which is crucial in creating buildings that are innovative in meeting people's practical needs, while being sensitive to local traditions and environments.
